A series of newsprint posters folded down into a small booklet. The text covers a brief history of image-making with computers and its relationship to art with the emergence of ascii art.

The project takes a look at the history of computer imaging and the emergence of the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII). Originally developed from telegraph codes, ASCII (pronounced as•ski) gained commercial use on the seven-bit teleprinter by Bell data services.

The booklet is set in IBM Plex Mono. This modern typeface was designed to capture IBM’s spirit and heritage of the original fonts used during the development of these technologies.
